Job-related travel is Occasional.  Must possess a valid driver's license.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience in business or public administration;

OR

or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical administrative* experience for each year of the required bachelor's degree.

Job Responsibilities

Quality management is vital to support individuals receiving Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of services recipients is a federal requirement and the primary responsibility of the DDS Risk Mitigation and Prevention Unit. 

The
Administrative Programs Manager (APM III) position for DDS Risk Mitigation and Prevention will act as the State Mortality Review Coordinator and manage Statewide Mortality Review Committee (SMRC) activities.
The position will be responsible to maintain and analyze mortality review data to identify trends and patterns; notify internal and external stakeholders of the outcome of SMRC recommendations; follow up until identified resolution is completed; complete mortality reviews and finalize comprehensive mortality review documents; complete monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on SMRC activities; collaborate with unit Health Care Management Nurse III to ensure receipt and review of death abstract and medical examiner reports; collaborate with Office of Client Advocacy (OCA) mortality review advocacy liaison and OCA investigation liaison assigned to attend the SMRC; and identify, develop and present educational materials to address SMRC findings, trends and patterns.
The APM will monitor the status and outcome of investigations related to the death of DDS service recipients; track performance measure data to ensure accountability for program operations and evaluate program effectiveness. The APM will assist the programs administrator in ensuring operations are in compliance with federal rules and will recommend quality initiatives to address prevention. 

The
APM may act as a back-up for the programs administrator and unit incident management PM; complete mortality reviews; assist with unit incident management activities including training needs, as requested; recommend regulatory or policy changes and act as a division subject matter expert on the end of life and mortality review process.
This position will be supervised by Tina Chance, Nursing Programs Administrator.
