Janus of Santa Cruz is seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to provide client-centered therapeutic services with a primary focus on the emotional, behavioral, and mental well-being of individuals served. This position delivers individual and group counseling, assessment, and education to clients diagnosed with substance use disorders.
The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 11:00 am-7:30 pm and can be 32- 40 hours a week.
The SUD Counselor is responsible for providing high-quality clinical and care coordination services, including but not limited to:
Education & Experience
As required by California law, Janus of Santa Cruz will not consider an arrest not followed by conviction, referral to or participation in a pretrial or post-trial diversion program, or convictions that have been sealed, dismissed, expunged, pardoned, or are more than seven (7) years old. Any conviction considered will be evaluated based on the nature and seriousness of the offense, the time elapsed, and the relevance to the position.
