The Manufacturing Production team is responsible for a wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. 

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Turbomachinery Balancing Specialist (Technician) to join our rapidly growing team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for balancing using soft-bearing and hard-bearing balancing machines. You will, operate and maintain balancing machines to perform dynamic balancing of turbomachinery, interface with engineering to design and optimize mandrels and other fixturing to execute balancing and interpret data from HMI to identify imbalances and recommend corrective actions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing equipment and the performance of turbomachinery assemblies and components. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•  Perform high-precision balancing procedures on various turbine components 
• Maintain detailed records of balancing procedures, machine settings, and results
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform balancing operations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues in a development and production environment
• Provide technical support and training on balancing machines to team members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 5+ years of experience in turbomachinery balancing, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience using soft-bearing balancing machines
• Proficient in operating and maintaining balancing equipment and associated software
• Strong understanding of rotor dynamics and balancing principles
• Familiarity with various types of turbines and assemblies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
