Since 1972, Therapeutic Health Services (THS) has provided evidence-based, culturally appropriate and compassionate behavioral health treatment, programs and services for children, youth, and families with substance use and mental health disorders. We are on the frontlines:
We are hiring for a Behavioral Health Specialist who will be located at our Seattle branch. THS, in collaboration with LIHI, (Low Income Housing Institute) seeks to improve the lives of those living in LIHI operated tiny home villages within our community. In our work with LIHI, we have seen safe, secure, dignified shelter for those who have been living outside combined with on-site behavioral health services as a stabilizing first step in the transition out of homelessness. In addition to supporting individual residents in their mental health and/or substance use disorder recovery, by providing de-escalation and crisis management services we are able to help make the villages safer places for all residents and help villages to be good neighbors in the areas where they are sited. This is a full-time position, and the pay range is $68,000-$70,077/annually DOE.

· Ability to converse with and listen to people in many different settings
· Ability to use a computer and telephone, as well as other standard office equipment
· Mobility requirements may involve navigating various work areas, including stairs or ramps.
· Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, and/or carry supplies up to 25 pounds
· Work takes place in a social services environment where long periods of sitting, working on a computer, and standing (with accommodations provided for specific positions).
· Travel to program sites and meetings outside the site and around the county are necessary
· Ability to work in an environment where there may be animals present, including dogs
