Work Setting: Field-Based, On-Site
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $70,304 – $72,000 annually, DOE
What You’ll Do: The Impact You’ll Make
As a Therapist – HSSP, you will provide community-based mental health services to adults participating in the Housing Supportive Services Program who have secured permanent housing through project-based housing vouchers. You will support clients with a full spectrum of DSM diagnoses by delivering therapeutic, rehabilitative, and crisis services that promote stability, recovery, and long-term housing retention.
Clinical Services & Field-Based Care
• Provide in-reach, mental health assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing therapeutic services to housed clients.
• Deliver individual, conjoint, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation services in community and field-based settings.
• Respond appropriately to client crises, including participation in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule as assigned.
• Work independently and professionally in the field while maintaining safety and clinical standards.
Documentation & Productivity
• Document all services accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner in compliance with LAC-DMH, Medi-Cal, and agency documentation standards.
• Maintain required levels of client service utilization and billing productivity.
• Demonstrate consistent adherence to agency productivity benchmarks.
Collaboration & Professional Practice
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, supervisors, and community partners.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and participate in supervision and ongoing training.
• Utilize electronic health records and basic computer systems effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations.
What You’ll Bring: Your Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Current California BBS registration as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC.
• Eligibility to claim Medi-Cal services and evidence of a clear criminal background.
• LPS designation/certification required within six (6) months of hire.
• Completion of Live Scan fingerprinting.
• Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record and insurability under agency policy.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience providing services to individuals living with serious mental illness in county-operated, county-contracted, residential, or community mental health settings.
• Prior experience delivering field-based or housing-related mental health services.
