We’re hiring a Mental Health – Multisystemic Therapist to join our Seattle team, where you’ll receive comprehensive training and supervision in the evidence-based MST model while working intensively with youth ages 12–17 and their families. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with caregivers, schools, community partners, and other supports to address serious behavioral challenges such as aggression, truancy, running away, and substance use. You’ll help families build skills, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change through targeted, research-backed interventions delivered in the home and community.


Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Requirements

Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model

  • Comfort working with a diverse community of clients
  • Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family’s ecological context
  • Provide direct clinical treatment using the MST treatment model and principles. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior
  • Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members
  • Knowledge of the types of families in the community

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (including new and recent graduates) in Social Work, clinical or counseling Psychology, or a related subject area preferred or bachelor’s degree with minimum of three years of experience working with family and/or youth services.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to travel to client’s homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Bilingual (especially Spanish and English) therapists are strongly preferred as well.

  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to converse with and listen to people in many different settings

· Ability to use a computer and telephone, as well as other standard office equipment

· Mobility requirements may involve navigating various work areas, including stairs or ramps.

· Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, and/or carry supplies up to 25 pounds

· Work takes place in a social services environment where long periods of sitting, working on a computer, and standing (with accommodations provided for specific positions).

· Travel to program sites and meetings outside the site and around the county are necessary

· Ability to work in an environment where there may be animals present, including dogs
